Partner series to the Cambridge Schools Chaucer, this series has 12 covers featuring the same typography and colours as the main series. The pattern background is based on overlaid stock images that I have placed into Illustrator and Photoshop to create unique patterns.

One of 8 in this series, this shows a refreshed cover using contemporary images and a rich colour palette. The typeface is Avant Garde Gothic, chosen as a complete contrast to the beautiful Ellesmere manuscripts. The colours are reflected in the Selected Tales series also featured in this portfolio.

Written by BBC writer for Doctor Who, this series teaches children to code using a novel set in an Orwellian future. Crack the code to release the future! This exciting project required a completely different design to the traditional University Press style.

Image selection and Photoshop work for the cover of a GCSE set text. The images for the Cambridge University Press covers have been selected and developed with pedagogy in mind. They can be learning aids and/or discussions points.

All the covers appear in a thumbnail view on the Elevate Platform so it's important that the image is striking at different sizes. Each cover also needs to work with the corporate brand (the block logo in the top left corner).

This is the final agreed concept design for the UK Education team. The two column format aided the linear translation of content into the custom built Elevate ePub platform. Images with pull quotes draw attention to key quotes and these are used in other subjects for statistical or numerical pedagogically key facts.

The icons come from a library which I have created to work across the subjects and form part of the UK Education identity. These are interactive in the Elevate view.
